    A philanthropic, multi-institutional accelerator supporting and accelerating the commercialization of early-stage medical technologies, operated jointly by Georgia Tech and Emory University. Three integrated components: Biolocity U (educational resources on life science commercialization), Biolocity Fund (more than $1.5M available annually to Emory and Georgia Tech innovations through a multi-stage competitive application process), and Biolocity Launch — active project management and formal coordination with the life-sciences commercialization ecosystem for Biolocity Fund awardees.

Provides one-on-one coaching, customer discovery, investor connections, talent and corporate-partnership support, and office/lab access. Takes zero equity. Runs staged programs (Educate, Accelerate, Signature) plus industry tracks including HealthTech.

    GLS note: Corporate mentors and enterprise partnerships

    Corporate venture accelerator and innovation platform in Tech Square, connecting startups with senior executives across a consortium of 16 major corporations (including Chick-fil-A, Coca-Cola, Cox Enterprises, Delta, Georgia-Pacific, Georgia Power, Georgia Tech, Goldman Sachs, Home Depot, ICE, Inspire Brands, Invesco, Invest Georgia, RaceTrac, Tech Square Ventures, Unum and Wellstar). Runs a 10-week Enterprise Accelerator twice yearly and provides mentorship and pathways to corporate partnership and customer acquisition. 122 portfolio companies, 200+ corporate contracts, $3.1B+ follow-on capital.

  • UGA Innovation Gateway

    Athens

    The University of Georgia's intellectual property licensing and startup support arm. Manages patents and technology licensing, supports company formation from UGA research, and runs entrepreneurship programming including Innovation Bootcamp, UGA I-Corps, M.A.P.S., Startup 101 and the Georgia Startup License, plus the FAST Grant program. Over 1,300 products commercialized and 250+ companies launched.
